Classes at Needlework Atelier Stacked are designed for adults who prefer depth over novelty. Each series meets weekly in our Oudegracht room. You leave with a finished or nearly finished piece, a notebook of stitch notes, and the confidence to continue at home. Kits are included unless noted; bring reading glasses if you use them for close work.
Groups are capped so the tutor can adjust tension and colour choices at each table. We teach classical surface embroidery with space for your own motifs once the fundamentals settle. Tea is available; conversation stays gentle during stitching blocks.

Foundations covers running, back, stem, satin, and French knots on cotton and linen. The botanical series walks through leaf veins and petal stacking. Silk shading is for students who already hold a steady satin stitch. Monogram weeks focus on spacing and padding. Open studio seats are for ongoing projects — book ahead when the calendar fills.
To reserve a place, write via contact or email [email protected]. A deposit of €40 holds your seat; the balance is due on the first evening. Cancellations more than seven days ahead receive a studio credit.
